On Sunday December 23rd, 2007 a subject entered a retail jewellery store in Polo Park Shopping centre at about 1:30 pm . A photograph of this subject, obtained from security surveillance video, is available. Please refer to JVC's Alert Bulletin 2007-086 Winnipeg , Manitoba dated December 27 th 2007 . He asked to look at a few rings. One of the rings was a 1.63 carat diamond ring. Once he had it in his hand, he ran from the store and the mall. He got into a brown or green Chrysler LeBaron convertible and drove off. The man is described as Asian approximately 25-30 years of age; about 5'3”, medium build, with short spiked black hair and an earring in one ear. Anyone with information on this incident or incidents with a similar description is asked to call JVC or the Winnipeg Police Service, referring to Police File #C07280149.
