In each of the three York Region incidents, the suspect entered the jewellery store and asked to see engagement rings in the price point of $10,000.00. He then compared the two rings and then suddenly ran from each of the stores without making payment.
The first incident occurred on Monday, January 11 th 2010 at approximately 3 p.m. at the Upper Canada Mall located at 17600 Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket.
The second incident occurred on Thursday, March 8 th 2010 at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Promenade Mall located at 1 Promenade Circle in the City of Vaughan.
The third incident occurred on Tuesday, March 13 th 2010 at approximately 8 p.m. at Vaughan Mills Mall located at 1 Bass Pro Mills Drive in the City of Vaughan
Two other similar incidents have been reported in the GTA including one in the City of Toronto and one in the Town of Pickering.
There have been no reports of injuries during any of these theft incidents.
