Alert #2010-012

On Friday, January 29 th 2010 at approximately 12:30pm, three subjects, one armed with a rifle, entered a retail jewellery store located at 800 Steeles Avenue West . They confronted the store owner. The armed subject assaulted the victim, as the other two subjects smashed display cabinets and took an unknown quantity of jewellery. The subjects made a successful escape through the parking lot to a waiting small dark vehicle driven by a fourth subject.

The victim received minor injuries and was transported to hospital where he was treated and released.

The subjects are described as follows:

#1 – Male/black, wearing a puffy white jacket, blue jeans and carrying a duffle bag. He was armed with a rifle.

#2 – Male/black, wearing a jacket with a hooded sweatshirt, light jeans, a white hat and black shoes.

#3 – Male/black, wearing a light hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, white shoes and black sunglasses.

#4 – Unknown black
