ARMED ROBBERY

During a robbery, follow these guidelines:

Stay calm.
Cooperate with the robber.
Do only what he/she says and when he/she says it.
Follow the robber's instructions. Remember what is taken.
Do not make fast, jerky movements.
Do not stall to prolong the robber's stay.
Do not attempt to follow or chase the robber.

After the robbery, follow these guidelines:

Call your Mall Security and the Police Department (911) immediately.
Do not touch or move anything from the scene.
Close and lock the gates/doors immediately.
Write down the description of the robber and all other information that be remembered without discussing it with other employees using the JVC Description Form.
If there are customers in your store, ask them to remain until Police arrive or ask for their name and phone number so Police can call them.
Do not release information to the media unless or until the Police Department has completed it's on-site investigation.
